I had a hard time getting him to hold still for these! He kept trying to pull himself up on the arm rest! He doesn't stop! He is constantly on the move by getting up on his knees and then launching himself forward (he doesn't have the arms down yet) or by rolling. He pulled himself to standing once. He doesn't like any of the baby foods I have tried. He does like the puffs and little pieces of food i give him. He is got the chewing motion down! He is getting into everything and anything he can get his hands on. definatley baby-proofing time! He is constantly happy! He lights up and smiles his huge smile whenever he sees us. He is such a great addition to our family!!

Month 5

I was in Utah on the day that Paul turned 5mths and forgot to take a picture. I tried to get one later but every time i would remember he was sleeping. So here are some pics without his teady bear. He can push himself with he toes and scoot forward. He rolls around everywhere! I sit him down and he doesn't stay there for long. He is trying really hard to get his knees under him so he can really get around. He is sleeping really well and only wakes up once. The goal this month is crib sleeping! So far he doesn't like it but we will see how it goes!

Paul at four months! He discovered his fingers and how to get them to his mouth. He constantly had them in there. And when they weren't he had his tongue sticking out. He could roll over as soon as he way put down. He could get his knee up and out to the side.

Paul is two months!!!

He spends a lot more time awake and loves playing with his toys that hang from his boucy seat, on the tray in his swing, on on the play mat! There is a girafee that he just sniles at. So cute! He loves to be looking out at the world. He sleeps now with his face nestled in my elbow which is harder for me because he doesn"t want me to put him down. He is such a great baby!

We bought some sweet corn today from the Stake. There is a guy who donates it to the Stake if we go pick it and then the Stake sells it. It is so good that we usually end up just eating it before we can get it cooked. You don't need butter or anything on it! YUM!! here is Connor with his corn..

I stole this idea from some of my friends who are doing it! I thought it was a great idea. I didn't get a newborn photo but I am going to take a photo of Paul next to this bear every month until his first birthday. Then I think i will take one every year until he wont let me anymore. I think it will be a fun way to measure him growing.

Paul at 1 month

At 1 mth he is rolling from his back to his tummy. Most of the time he doesn't want his binky and makes a face like you just tried to put the most disgusting thing ever in his mouth. When he cries he says "wah" and when he tries to talk he says "who". He is a great baby. He only cries when he is hungry and fusses for about an hr each night right before bed. I read that a lot of babies have a fussy time and that usually goes away at about 4mths. He sleeps really well at night.

Paul Steven Roberts was born via c-section on September 3rd 2010. He was 7lbs 1oz and 20 1/2 inches long!
Connor and Abby were 8lbs+ so it was nice and a little weird to have a small baby! It is perfect though because he is such a different baby then the first two. I don't think he looks like me or brock and he has the most laid back personalitly. He is a great baby!

Brock's mom suprised Brock and came to Wa for his birthday! It was really fun and so nice having her here. Brock found out recently that he has really high cholesterol. He is bing so good and is eating so healthy! Unfortunatly that meant no birthday cake. It was yummy. Cay got the kids a cute little dog cake. They were so excited!

Abby decided to eat the jello powder for the salad i was making. Making three things at once makes it hard to keep track of what the kiddos are doing. Luckly Brock was home and after this incident he did a great job of keeping them out of the kitchen while i finished up for thanksgiving.

Some randomness from the past few weeks:

I bought some red lipstick for my halloween costume. Abby just loves "lips" as she calls it. She stole into my room and took it into the bath with her. Doesn't she and Ariel look beautiful? She also got some of uncle matt's black makeup.

Our friend gave connor a little bike that his son is too big for. Connor is so excited but we haven't let him ride it yet. I am not sure how to do it and Brock hasn't been around at a time when they could test it out.

Abby loves to take pictures of herself and pretty much anything else.

Brock also put on my red lipstick and kissed my face. It was really wierd to see him in lipstick.

Halloween

This year we didn't go trick or treating house to house. Our stake did a trunk or treat and it was so much better then spending way to much time in the cold with the kids in coats so you can't even see their cool costumes!
Brock spent most of Saturday carving a pumpkin that later won a prize for scariest!

Washington

So, It's hard to believe that we have been in Spokane for over a month now. It's been good. We have been lucky to already now a few people out here from when Brock served his mission in this area and our ward is so great! They have been so welcoming and helpful! I have not felt alone like i thought i would. Our friend Matt came with us and it has been so great having him here. He has been so helpful to us!

Last week we were able to go back to Utah for a visit. We took off at 10 pm and drove all night. We stayed for just over a week and then drive all night again to get home. It was so great to be in Utah with family but i definitely wasn't sad to take off back home. Utah has gross water, stinky air, and dries out my skin. Washington is the opposite of that. Maybe Brock wont have such a hard time convincing me to stay!

Today Matt and I took the kids up by Liberty Lake. Matt goes up there a lot and It was so nice of him to take us! It is so beautiful and the hike was perfect! We saw a Mother and baby moose. Matt got some great pictures! I don't have a card reader for my camera and I lost the cord so i haven't really been able to take any pictures. I am hoping to be able to find an affordable camera so I can take some and get them posted! Especially since i can't get my web cam to work! GRRR!

Brock has some new agents and has spent the last week training them! It is so exciting to have everything progressing! Love you babe!

Our first experience this summer with the wild! We went up Timpanogos (sp?) Canyon with the Taylor family! The kids loved it and so we spend a lot of time up in the canyons!

About a week ago i had a jewelry party at my apartment. I was running a little behind as usual. I went to check on the cupcakes in the oven but didn't open the oven door all the way. I tried pulling out the pan but somehow didn't get a grip on it and as i tried to pull it out i ended up just slamming my arm into the inside of the oven door. It defiantly hurt. I ran it under cold water but not for long because i was in a hurry to finish everything. So here is the end result. You can't really tell but my arm was really swollen around the burn so much that it hurt to use my muscles. It was an interesting experience.

Yesterday Abby wanted to talk to brock so I dialed the phone and handed it to her. He answered and she started....
she talked about connor, our hamster, Miceala and Halle, Jessica and Kylee, and some things i couldn't understand. She walked from her room to the dinning area back to her room danced around and stood on her tip toes. I don't think she stoped talking. The funnest part was brock kept trying to say he had to go but Abby would yell "Brock, brock, brocky.." and then start talking and dancing again (this happened three times)! It was so fun to watch! She is so cute!
Also last night Abby started coughing really bad, a barky cough, and had a hard time getting air in so I ran her over to insta care to find out she has croup!! Luckily the cool air helped to calm her down. They gave her steroids and she is doing much better!

Our life lately...

Here is an update on what's been going on with us this past little while. Nothing too exciting but something...
A while ago i accidentally drowned my phone. It really deserved it but it was hard not having a phone or car. I felt really cut off from the outside world.
Just as i was feeling really sorry for myself we came into a car.... It isn't the car we wanted and we are going to try and sell it but at least i have four wheels! Right after that my super cool sister bought me a phone!! It was so nice of her and so nice to have a phone again!!!
So things were going well which means that something bad had to happen. Brock went out of town to a convention in Las Vegas! It was kind of nice but we were glad when he came home. But, i had to miss a week of working out which might have been nice if it wasn't the "easy" week. Then Connor get sick. I took him to the doctors and had to miss Jill's bridal shower and the kids missed Halle's birthday party. I think i took him in too soon, the next day he had a really high fever. Yesterday i felt that he felt good enough that we could venture out and get some things at the store. Last night he started complaining of an ear ache. He went to sleep but woke up at 3:30 and was up until almost 6. Then to top it off abby now has a cough. So today is going to be disinfecting day!! I did the basics like washing sheets and lysoling the couch he spent most of his time on but i guess it wasn't enough!! Hopefully i can kill if off before it gets brock or me. On top of all that we are starting to feel the reality of the move and all the have to do to get ready to go and open an office. It has been crazy! I just can't wait for the next year to pass by and for us to be settled!! It's kind of crazy!

I think i just need a good vacation! I think it's time for Disneyland....

There are also a lot of good things that i am really grateful for but we'll save those for another post. :)

abby's 2nd birthday

We celebrated Abby's second birthday on the 17th of January! It was nice! I can't believe she is two already! She is so grown up! I love everything about her!
She absolutly loves connor! If we go anywhere without him she talks about him the whole time and when we get back she gives him a big hug!
She always makes sure connor has his share of everything! Even her potty prizes and birthday toys!
She adores her daddy!
She loves to cuddle!
She is such a girl! Loves anything to do with princesses, shoes, makeup, purses, and babies!

Today we started P90x all over!! Yes, we are crazy! We decided this time to do the eating plan that came with it. It is actually all really good food. It just times a little extra time. Which is why we didn't do it the first time. I am excited. We needed to do another exercise anyway so why not do this one again but better! I know this time we will definatly get the results we want! I just need someone to come eat the sugar stuff so it doesn't tempt me! Here we go!! Day 1...

Connor is practicing for when he is rich and famous. He no longer has friends, they are now "my peoples". I don't know why he switched over. He's a funny kid.

The other day abby touched him and her fingers were wet. He said "abby! don't wipe your fingers on me! I'm not a napkin, i'm connor"

I'm am trying to teach him he can't run around naked, cause he loves to! The other day he was hanging out on the couch fully undressed. I said "AHHH! I can see your bum!" Connor said "No, you love it"

Whenever they are playing in thier room and i stick my head in to check on them connor will say "just nothing mom" I guess he knows my question i usually ask is "what are you doing in there?" Now he just answers without me asking.

The past three nights Connor has been sleeping without a diaper. YES!!! The first night he slept all night. The second night he didn't get his jammies off in time (atleast it wasn't in his bed). The third night (last night) he got up and went and then stayed up and read a book in the front room. I heard him going through the fridge and got him some warm milk and then he went to sleep! Not ideal but definatly good! Now if we could just get abby to go in the potty instead of on the carpet we'd be set!

Orem Softball

Brock's softball team, Supermen, won the Orem city softball tournament! It was really exciting to watch. My sister, steph, was kind enough to watch the kids so I could watch the games. They played from six until 10. The last two games were the same team. The team was the best of the best and brock's team was the best of the not-so-best (losers) and they had to beat them twice in a row! I guess that makes Supermen the best of the best! Way to go guys!! Although, us wives decided that we need to do a girls team and let the guys chase the kids all season!!!

Thanks to my cousin Lauren's blog I heard about Jumpin Jacks. It was really affordable for us cause 3 and under is $5 and Parents are $5 and we had a $2 off coupon for four people. The kids loved it and so did we. It was so much fun and not crowded at all. We went on a saturday so I was worried it would be but luckily it wasn't.

There was a group of kids who had a blast linking arms and going down with Brock. It was fun to watch.

Brock had yesterday morning open so we took the kids over to Tracy Aviary. The kids really enjoyed it and it was perfect weather. It was nice because both our kids are free and we were only $5 each. Not a bad activity!
Connor was so good! If we lingered longer than he wanted he just found a seat. Such a cute boy! At one point abby decided to be a puppy. Not sure why but still so cute!

Life around the Roberts house has been a little crazy. We sold my car but unfortunatly brock's car ended up in the shop so we ended up borrowing his mom's car for what we thought would be a few days. Well, a computer, four belts, and a water pump later the original problem we took it in for is still not fixed and we have had his mom's car for three weeks now. Our tub drain has been clogged which makes life tough since my kids take at least one bath a day (they call it swimming, "mom, lets go swim"), our internet is being really spaztic lately. It keeps longing off and then logging itself back on. Really frustrating since brock needs the internet to write his policys. So today i finally got a hold of a tool that allowed me to clean out the drain. I hope this is the begining of good luck for us!!!!

Yesterday the kids were in the bathtub. I left the room to get thier towels and came back to find that connor had taken the bottom of thier little potty, filled in with bath water, and poured it all over the floor. It was flooded! It took every towel we had minus the one i saved to dry them both off. Luckily it didn't get on the carpet and nothing was ruined! Oh my children!

When Brock participated in Springville Survivor he was on the Far West BAnk team. They held a little party this last Saturday and even though Brock doesn't work there they were kind enough find Brock's number and let him know. They held it at Springville pool and we all had a blast! After finally putting his head in the water connor spent the rest of the time jumping of the side of the pool and eventually the diving board (with a life jacket and brock right there in the water to help him) Abby wanted to jump off the diving board but didn't have a life jacket.

I haven't posted in a LONG time. So here is a condensed version of the last weeks. We finally moved! We have been with my parents for about two years and finally got on our feet and found a place we could afford. It has definatly been an adjustment. Connor didn't like staying there and wanted to go "home" all the time. We moved abby from a crib to a toddler bed so she has been harder to get to sleep and if she wakes up in the night she wonders the apartment. So the first week was little sleep. I think they are finally getting use to it because i have been getter more sleep. A week later we went to flaming gorge with some family and friends. It was a blast. I got super sunburned cause i am dumb but it still rocked! (pictures to come) The week after gorge i spent finishing up the apartment. So we are finally back to what normal our life is.

Last night went well with connor in underware. He slept all night with no accident again! Yes!!! He woke up and came in with me for a little while then went downstairs to his little potty and went potty! I am really liking this. Also, around dinner time my mom noticed that connor's eyes were goopy, sadly at the doctors today we found out he has pink eye in both eyes and an ear infection! Yuck! Poor little guy. He is really brave though, he doen't even act as if it bothers him. He just keeps on going! What a trooper. I really wish i had his energy and determination to not let it get him down. When i am sick it wipes me out! Way to go Connor! You rock!

Last night connor fell asleep in my arms while watching a movie! I was in heaven! One of my favorite things is when my kids fall asleep in my arms. Something which has not happened in a very long time. Now it is a huge routine mess to get naps in and later bed time! Anyway, i took him upstairs and laid him down. I was intending to go in later when he was in a deeper sleep and replace his underware with a pull-up. I forgot until this morning when i heard brock telling connor how great it was that he slept all night in underware and didn't pee the bed. I was so happy!!!! I am a little scared to try again for fear he will tonight. I guess this is where plastic comes in handy. Well, wish me and connor some luck tonight!

It was a really awesome weekend! They spent a few hours in the canyons. They ran to find envelops in the tall weeds, broke the tiles they painted, balanced on a v shaped brick, and other things. Then that night we went to the Arts park where we found out Brock's team won and brock got to move on. The final 6 ate red peppers with hot sauce, bobbed for barbie parts then had to put them together, dug through pudding for coins, eat pickeled pigs feet, sardines, and then drank clam juice. Brock came in second by a second. It was so close. Way to go Brock!!!

Survivor Springville 2008

The winner of Survior China lives in Pleasant Grove and his brother-in-law or some kind of relation lives in Springville and they decided to do a mini Survivor in Springville. Brock's mom and sister are HUGE fans. His sister lives in Oklahoma and would have flown out but tickets were a little expensive. So they talked Brock into doing it. Last night was a dinner and I got to go along. It was a lot of fun. I don't watch Survivor so I wasn't as excited to meet the people but the activities they did last night were fun to watch.

us, 2nd place (i think her name is courtney), Todd the $1 million winner, and Frosti (i don't know if that's his real name). All really nice, fun people.

Above: Their first challange. To find playing cards listed on this paper and then turn them over to spell a word. They had a bunch of cards hanging on a line held by cloths pins (i don't know why the picture wont load on here?) and then each player ran and found a card one at a time. After all were found you had to spell a four word phrase. Frist one to finish wins. We didn't. But we got close. They only listed ten cards and we needed eleven so the words weren't making sense. Oh-well. It was fun to watch.

Then they made a flag. Here they are looking at it. We didn't win.....

Tonight they will do a swimming challange at the Springville Pool and then tomorrow they are spending about 4 hours in Hobble Creek Canyon. They havent said whats going on then. I am excited to see more!

potty training

Connor is finally potty trained!!! I am so excited! Abby decided she wanted to sit and the potty and connor wanted to do it cause she was and he went! Since then he has been going on his own. I finally got him to go on a "big" potty (regular toilet instead of dora training potty). He still doesn't like wearing underware but all in all it is great having less diapers to buy and change!

I found out today that i am allergic to...well...something. I took some supplements today that i have been taking for about a month with this workout i have been doing. Apparently i am allergic to something in them. I had a small reaction before but i didn't realize thats what it was. So as i sat eating breakfast my nose started burning like a bad sun burn. I ran up stairs to look in the mirror and by the time i got there my whole face, ears, arms, and hands were burning and bright red! It was crazy. I started to really freak out. I could still breath fine but decided to go to the doctors anyway, because i was freaked out. Of course all they did was give me benedryl and waited to see if it worked and then sent me home.
On a more positive note, I am in a size 8! YES! I am so excited. After three years I finally have the drive to make it happen! I am excited to be healthy for me and for brock and our kids!

My baby brother graduated on June 3rd! AHHH! I can't believe it! That makes me old! I am so proud of him and all the he has become! He is so on top of things and is already to head off to college this fall!

Parking right up by the softball field is not a mistake we will make twice. Last tuesdays game resulted in this. As we stood around waiting for the game before ours to finish one of the players decided to hit the ball into our rear window. Abby was in the back seat but luckily was not hurt or even phased by it. Well, it has been a while since we needed to spend money we don't have on something we have to have. It was our turn again.

Beth and I had so much fun in Texas! Thanks to Char and Justin for letting us be a part of their special day and thanks to Char's dad for letting us follow him around so we wouldn't get lost and have to be homeless people in Texas! We took a ton of pictures that I will most definitely post tomorrow! We got asked about 20 time if we were twins. We were about ready to just say yes! It was a blast! Pictures to come.....

In 24hrs I will be on my way to Texas! I am so excited! My dearest friend, charlotte, is getting married and I am so glad i get to be there for it! I am also excited because i will be childless! That's right, for 2 1/2 days I will be alone, except for B who is coming with me! Yes, I will miss them terribly and already miss them just thinking about it, but it is a long deserved vacation! Help me to appreciate my kids and husband a little more. We are staying an extra day so we can go shopping at the HUGE mall and then go to a Rangers game. Yay!!

there is a game where you have to carry hamburgers to the customer. It felt like to had to stand backwards to get the movements right

I really like playing wii. Not only is it fun but the boxing is a great arm workout.

My sister rented this game, i think it is Rabids? It was really fun. Maybe more of a kids game but still super fun!

We took off to Brock's parents on Sunday. Thanks mom for having brunch on saturday so we could hang out with both families for easter. It stinks when you have to choose one or the other.

Easter Saturday

We did easter stuff with my family on Saturday. It was a lot of fun. We had lots of yummy food and the kids had a blast.

Connor and Abby weren't too happy about us taking pictures of them. Abby was tired and wouldn't take out her binky and connor didn't like that we made him take off his football jersey.

We finally got them to smile but it wasn't the pose i was hoping for.

Brock and Connor built a tent to lay in while they ate pizza and watched a movie. It was a really fun idea but because of my cousins reception and that i forgot to get diapers til 9 that night it didn't go quite as planned! Poor Brock!

Staci, Aaron, Courtney, and I went to the Jamboree Music Festival at Thanksgiving Point. It was really great especially Dashboard! Yeah! As Staci and I were standing there waiting for it to start staci looked behind her and saw Chris, the lead singer, standing about 10 feet away. We quickly ran over and were able to get his autograph! It was awesome.
